Due to the growing prevalence of Allergies, and the lack of allergy awareness in New Zealand, Dr Crump has witnessed over the last 20 years of practice at the Auckland Allergy Clinic, he decide to do two things:
Write a book on the growing prevalence of Allergies in New Zealand, and his book Allergies: New Zealand Growing Epidemic was published in 2009.

The book has been described by Penny Jorgensen, CEO of Allergy New Zealand, as 'a must have book for every New Zealander'. Dr Crump's book offers an in-depth examination on the treatment of allergies and the ways in which allergic conditions are inter-related. It also includes case studies illustrating how allergies manifest themselves, and a wealth of practical advice on how to recognize allergies and where to look for the most effective treatment options.

Dr Robert Winkler, is a consultant Paediatrician specialising in Allergies. Robert has an international experience in Paediatric Allergology. He first became interested in medicine when working with infants at a hospital as a volunteer. He did his medical training after finishing his studies and decided to specialise in Paediatrics and focus on Allergology. Robert has helped families in Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Spain, and in the Emirates. He's fascinated by learning the different approaches taken toward medicine in each country and uses he scientifically proven methods, appropriate for each country. He believes that doctors around the world should be able to explain complex matters to their patients in a way the patient can understand. Dr Barker was raised in Worcestershire, England and started his medical career in London in 1998. An early interest in Allergy and Immunopathology developed with completion of his medical school Pathology dissertation on the laboratory tests used to diagnose allergic diseases. Further interest in the broader speciality of Immunology developed whilst undertaking a position in HIV medicine at St Bartholomew's Hopsital in London and again on meeting his mentor at Wellington Hospital in 2007.

Following completion of Dr Barker's basic physician training in Wellington in 2009 he decided to undertake advanced training in both Clinical Immunology and Immunopathology. This included a vast experience of allergy as well training in autoimmunity and the management of immunosuppressive medications, care of patients with reduced immunity including HIV and pathology (laboratory medicine) which led to an additional specialist qualification (FRCPA). Having just returned from three years of training in Sydney Dr Barker brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and care to Auckland Allergy Clinic.
